Amy Kandall went to the Chicago Art Institute, the New York Studio School and got  her BFA from the State University of New York at Purchase. After receiving her teaching license through Hunter College, Amy went on to her MFA from The Milton Avery school at Bard College. Amy Kandall has been teaching Ceramics and Painting in the public school system for over 25 years. Locally she has shown her work at the Cherrystone Gallery, the Schoolhouse Gallery, Provincetown Art Association and Museum, the East End Gallery, the Edmond-Wright Gallery and Patty Deluca. Her work has been exhibited in San Francisco, Osaka Japan, East Hampton, New York and New York City Area.

She currently teaches Art at Nauset Regional High School. She is trained in International Baccalaureate Art education. She is the founder of Greenthumb Ceramics, a cottage industry dedicated to indoor plants. Amy lives in Truro with her two kids and her dog.
